Nice to meet you!
Lauren is a multidisciplinary designer based in Brooklyn, NY whose work spans advertising, branding, motion, web design and user experience, and immersive media in theater. She cares deeply about the transformation of art institutions as places of both visual experimentation and accessibility.
Lauren is working in partnership with playwright kanishk pandey and director Rachel Gita Karp as art director and creator of the virtual avatar Rain for the show PRISONCORE! The show has been featured at Rough Draft Festival at LPAC and Gestating Baby at The Brick. She also worked as the media and projection designer for kanishk pandey’s sold out show The Fate of the Online Cow, where she designed and engineered a live streaming chat the actors were in dialogue with.
She currently works as a designer for global advertising company Wellcom Worldwide, developing large scale advertising campaigns for clients such as Raising Canes, Meta, Louis Vuitton, and Kaiser Permanente. In the past Lauren worked with SocialLadder and Aramark as an in-house graphic designer, and has freelanced for Joy Thomas Foundation, Burro Robotics, Columbia University’s MFA Theater Program, and Sanguine Theater’s Spring Break Festival for the show Caretake of Her.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Drexel University’s Graphic Design Program in 2022 with minors in fine art, art history, and interactive digital media. As a student, she was awarded by GDUSA and showcased at Design Philadelphia. Her senior thesis VERS was an online art museum designed to improve the access to art while addressing the history of imperialism in art curation.
Lauren lives in Brooklyn with her cat Olive, and loves reading poetry and philosophy at home with a good cup of chai. Reach out if you need a personal website designer, want to see a show she’s designed for, or simply want to connect over coffee.
